Inner tub off outer tub?

How do I get the inner tub off of the rear outer tub?

You want to remove the stainless steel spin basket from the outer tub?

That requires a manual. This Samsung machine with the Maytag label is rather difficult to repair. The whole tub asssembly has to be lifted out in one piece and then separated for repairs after it has been placed on the ground.

Why do you think you need to remove it?

The washer IS apart.I've got bits EVERYWHERE.
The inner drum and outer drums are what I can't get apart.
Something got between the drums causing an incredible grinding sound and it would hang up.

After removing a series of bolts from the middle circumference of the tub, lay it on the front cover and separate the 2 halves with a pry bar or large screwdriver. This is necessary in some cases due to the tightness of the fit and the effect of the seal band. Take caution not to  damage the rim of the tubs in the process. You should now be able to see  between the spinner and rear half of tub.
