Yep I was thinking about a different machine. I don't have a clue about this one. Looks pretty don't it?

*************Update************

This machine was purchased new from Sears 12/13/2006. Have receipt in hand. Tech says probably bad bearing? Any thoughts? Thanks

Anybody have the bearing part number? How difficult is a bearing to install? Anybody interested in seeing a 20 second video of problem? Thanks

Are you interested in some ocean-front property in Arizona?

I'm not a C.S.I., but I can tell the difference between a new machine and an old one. New machines do not suffer bearing failure. Period.

The machine was made in June 1998. We already established that fact. You cannot put lipstick on a pig, nor can you replace just the bearing. A new outer tub is over $400.  Deal with it.

Wow! What is an outer tub? Is it related to the bearing? Thanks

Well, let's think about it for a second. Is that turd really expensive when the whole stack unit costs $2200  to replace ?

Not really, only 1/4 the cost of replacement vs. repair
