Whirlpool Duet Dryer

This Whirlpool Duet Dryer makes an intermittent hollow clanging noise when running full or empty.  The noise is getting more and more frequent.  The drive belt has been replaced and the noise is the same. Any suggestions?

Pop the top panel off so you can get those drum baffles loose to remove the dimes caught under them.

Worn drum rollers can make the edges of the drum rub against the rear bulkhead. Maybe you should disassemble it for a better look. After all, you already know it involves a moving part.
