Where is the defrost timer located

Trying to locate the defrost timer and make sure it's not stuck on. I have to eleminate the possibility of  defrost strips staying energized.  The last step before I condemn the compressor.  It just doesn't put out cold enough.  Thanks for any input.....ezjim

Take the lower kickplate off and get your glasses on :). It's in front down there. Are you getting frost in the freezer back wall?

The compressor will not run if the defrost timer is stuck in defrost so it is probably not that.

The heaters would also burn the house down if they stayed on :D
You could try cleaning the crap off those coils on bottom and make sure that fan is blowing down there. Feel the compressor if it is hot as hell then the relay is probably shot.
