Video: Replace Belts on Maytag Dependable Care Washer

In this video we use a Maytag Dependable Care Washer Model # LAT9416AAE to show you just how easy it is to replace the belts.

This washer has two belts on it. One belt drives the gearbox and the other belt drives the water pump.

**Disconnect the power to the washer before you start any repairs**

If you tip your Maytag washer back and see two belts on the bottom, these are the two belts you will need.

Maytag Pump and Drive Belts

It is best to replace both belts at the same time.

Thank you very much for this information. I got the belts and the installation was simple because of your help. Now I am waiting to see if the problem will re-appear, but for now I washed a load and there was not problem, it is still making a noise, not bad tho, so I hope the problem is solved. That would be wonderful!!!
