Maytag Ceramic Cooktop Range digital control panel display is stuck

Hello Forum,

Attempting to reset the clock this morning, I managed to make the digital read-out freeze on what appears to be an error code. The symbols resemble letters and numbers, but they are difficult to read.

   5Ab 6ATH   (the "5Ab is in red)

This also could be  5A6  6A7H

Any clues??   Would unplugging the unit reset this display?

You got the clock in SABBATH mode.


Sabbath is generally a weekly day of rest and/or time of worship that is observed in any of several faiths.

You can try unplugging it or look in the book you got with the range.

If I had a model number I could try and look it up for you too.

Thanks!  Apparently I held the clock button "in" for 5 seconds.
Repeating that returns the display to normal.  Whew!

Sabbath mode?   That's a new one on me.
