No water at dispenser - ice maker working fine

Water no longer comes out of the dispenser but the ice maker works just fine.  Dispener slowly stopped working over a few weeks - sometimes it worked, sometimes it did not.  Not it does not work at all.  Any ideas?

If the fridge temps get too cold near the lower section where the water reservoir is located, it will freeze the tank up. This will  likely be accompanied by frozen veggies in the crisper drawers, maybe not. To see if it is merely a frozen tank, remove the lower drawers and heat the plastic tank in back slowly and evenly with a hair dryer or about 10 minutes. If it was frozen, the water should now dispense. If not, replace the dual water valve in back and change the incoming water filter if so equipped.

Thanks for the reply.  I did raise the temp a bit to see if the lines were frozen.  Not change but I did not try the hair dryer method.  I'll try that tonight.   One question, though.  If the ice maker is working, would that tell me the water line is not frozen?  Does the ice maker water loop through the same line as the water dispener line?

No, the icemaker line runs straight up the back to the freezer. It is on a completely different solenoid as the cold water dsipenser. (Thus the term "dual" water valve)

Your water valve actually has 2 water valves side by side. One of them does the water in the door, one does strictly the ice maker.

Checking the parts diagram here, is it part #AP3160649?  Did not see any thing called out as a "Dual" valve, but there are other valves.  Appreciate the help for a non-appliance guy.  I figure if I can fix transfer cases and other car repairs, the refrigerator should be no problem.
