The glass magic is working much better than the regular soap. I did buy 2 bottles of the dishwasher cleaner (I forgot the exact name). I used one already and the heating element looks much much better than it used to.

I'll run the other bottle again during the weekend and see if clears up the rest of the gunk in the dishwasher.

Thanks for the tips guys. So far so good. By the time I'm done with this, the washer should be good as new
