Kenmore Upright Commercial Freezer
« on: October 27, 2008, 07:50:23 PM »
Ok, I received much needed help with the range doors, I thought I would try this one.

Our Kenmore Commercial grade Upright, that has the "Power On Light, Fast Freeze Button, and Temp Alarm Button" on the top of the door.

Well the Power Light, Temp Alarm and Fast freeze features don't work. If you unplug the back up 9 Volt battery the Temp Alarm sounds the 2 beep beep sounds.

I have tried a new battery, but still No Power Light/Quick Freeze.

Any Help Please?

Ok I dug up the manual "useless by the way" and found out where to find the model # which is 970 220414.

The whole storey is the kids left the door open one weekend so everything started melting by the time it was caught. No alarm was heard. So I closed the door and the compressor did not start. I unplugged it for a bit, plugged it back in and nothing. No power on light, no high temp alarm, no fast freeze, and no compressor.

Come back in 1/2 hour and the compressor is running but no power on light, no high temp alarm, no fast freeze. It has run great since, in it's primary role but nothing else works. The alarm does sound if you unhook the back up battery.

Thats as much as I know.

I can't see any reset buttons.  It shows a High Temp alarm switch (on some models) but  mine doesn't have it .

Thanks, I'll check the wires, must be where you unhook the door or there abouts.
