Apple Pay?
« on: March 26, 2016, 11:24:12 AM »
Anyone been using Apple Pay?

When I got my latest iPhone last Fall I was excited that I would be able to use Apple Pay.
My excitement soon turn to disappointment as I could not find anyone locally that excepted Apple Pay.

I sent a email off to Casey's. One of my favorite local convenient stores and asked why they did not except Apple Pay.
To my surprise I received a reply back within a few days and they said...

Our Internal Team is still review these applications and we hope to implement them in our stores in the near future.

Today (six months later) I walk into Casey's this morning and see the Apple Pay logo on the registers and credit card terminals.

I was very surprised and happy. :)

I shot off another email to Casey's to let them know how happy I was.

Anyone else been using Apple Pay?

Be it Apple or Android I like the idea.
The more things my phone replaces the more useful it is to me.

My phone has more or less replaced my camera, gps, notebook and phonebook. Probably a few other things I'm not thinking of too.
With Apple Pay I can see the day that I won't have to carry a debit or CC and maybe not even my wallet.

Thought I read someplace about digital driver license or ID's some state was going to start using that would let you bring it up on your phone with their app or something along them lines.

Delaware is among several US states -- including the bellwether of California -- considering digital driver's licenses, and prototypes will go into pilot tests in some places this year. If those tests go well, the first smattering of virtual licenses could be offered to the public as early as 2016.
