417.99370810 kenmore laundry center

 ??? while dryer was running I opened the door to check the clothing,I closed the door and the dryer would not start.I also tried to start the washer but it would not`t start either.I checked the voltage coming into the laundry center it was fine . what should I check now.

Then open the small panel in back to look at the terminals where the power cord attaches. Sometimes this is a key trouble spot.

you probably have a bad lid switch or actuator. Look to see if the little metal part that protrudes out the dryer door jam is still there. press it and see if dat switch clicks :D

thanks for the help, the problem was one of the hot wires had broken off on the inside of the terminal (wiring ) block.
