whirlpool washer coupler repair question
(1/1)
acbclberbjcb:
I recently repaired a bad coupler on my whirlpool top load washer (thanks to your website). As I pulled the motor to gain access to the coupler a white piece of cardboard appeared from somewhere, with the 4 corners flipped up. When I finished the fix, I placed the cardboard piece on the top of the motor, tuckig in the sides w/ the flaps up. I assumed it was some type of protective cover for the motor. Is this the correct place for this cardboard piece?

Yes, it's a last-ditch effort to protect the motor in the event of a tub seal leak. It goes on top as you mentioned.
