I have had sears come and look at it and the tech. said there is nothing they could do about it. the machine is level and on a sturdy floor.

A technician told you there was nothing that could be done?

C'mon tell us the details. Most of us here have already heard all the excuses before, so what kind of floor do you have, etc? Is it on a pedestal?

Since all machines can be fixed if there is a definite problem, we would be interested to hear about one that they claim cannot be fixed. Maybe we can all learn something here.

2/12 joist, 16" on center, 3/4" plywood subfloor. I took it off the pedestal leveled it hoping this was the cure and it still shakes Vigorously in the spin cycle.

Yes, it is located upstairs. I was planing on moving it downstairs on the cement floor but the wife like that idea.

When I was with Maytag and we started getting complaints like these, we would eventually dolly the washer outside to the concrete driveway and run it there. 9 times out of 10 the machine performed perfectly.

I have found that by puttind the washer on a rubbermat, will stop it from vibrating or sliding on the floor.  Try some non slip pads, kind of like the ones people put in there cabinets. Cut them in a 4 by 4 pad, and stick them under all 4 legs, and give it try.    Tom
