Maytag dryer MED4200BW0 Calls for WPW10112954 my cost 42.47 come on Whirlpool really ?????? its just a dryer belt , same material you used for years , has anybody found a sub, I guess these are LG or Samsung design . Its sad to trash a dryer for a broken belt

I believe it is almost identical to the samsung belt, 6602-001655

no kidding.  With labor, its not going to be too much of a difference in price from a normal belt job.  I usually charge a minimum of $20 for a belt.

 Just an old cranky tech venting about the price of parts these days , been doing this to long I guess(42yrs) , I live in a rural community, people here dont make six figure incomes , alot of seniors citizens just trying to keep there appliances going instead of buying new stuff ,and Im having to give away more and more labor these days (which is my fault) , because of part price hikes but of course these big manufactures can justify that . You old guys know where Im coming from you have seen it yourself same part you been buying for years but with a new part number and cost a whole lot more . I just cant get use to this disposable stuff their making now days .

Lowes sells universal dryer belts for a much lower price. They sell them based on the dryer width---either 27" or 29". They are almost all 4 rib type . I use them once in a while when the original belt is way to high priced.

Dryer drum drive belt 92 1/2"
OEM Part - Manufacturer #WPW10112954

It's real close to the 342241 I get for $2.45
But only 92" long
