I have a Frigidaire front load dryer that will not come on. I had the drum belt replaced in it and prior to the belt going bad, the dryer worked just fine. A family friend replaced the belt for me and when he plugged it into the wall and pushed the start button, NOTHING! He mentioned to me that I had a 3 prong cord for a 4-prong socket but it's worked that way all the time. Could this be my problem or could something else be happening?

Maybe he forgot to hook the door switch up. Or maybe when yall were working on it the door switch broke.

Exactly where is the door switch?

It is mounted on the front panel and it has a small spring loaded button on it. when the door is open the button pops out and shuts down the dryer so the clothes won't come a tumbling out of the dryer. If you think maybe it is that switch and it has only 2 wires you can bypass it to see if the dryer will come on. But you should not leave it like that.
