A friend of mine has a blender unit that's built into their countertop and appears to be 25-30 years old. I opened up the cover and found that the unit is pretty much dead. I removed the large, heavy motor (company starts with an N but I don't recall the name off the top of my head).
The motor looks typical with two gears on the top and the spindle for the blender unit.
Any ideas on if I should even attempt to fix this or if it's worth taking it in anywhere?
