Countertop Blender worth bothering with?

A friend of mine has a blender unit that's built into their countertop and appears to be 25-30 years old. I opened up the cover and found that the unit is pretty much dead. I removed the large, heavy motor (company starts with an N but I don't recall the name off the top of my head).

The motor looks typical with two gears on the top and the spindle for the blender unit.

Any ideas on if I should even attempt to fix this or if it's worth taking it in anywhere?

Hmmm, thats likely an old use trying to fix it. There are KitchenAid blenders that will fit the same hole, though. Check the internet for built-in blenders.

Nutone.... That was the name.... Okay. I'll look for a replacement. Thanks.
