Countertop Blender worth bothering with?
(1/1)
Agrajag:
A friend of mine has a blender unit that's built into their countertop and appears to be 25-30 years old. I opened up the cover and found that the unit is pretty much dead. I removed the large, heavy motor (company starts with an N but I don't recall the name off the top of my head).
The motor looks typical with two gears on the top and the spindle for the blender unit.
Any ideas on if I should even attempt to fix this or if it's worth taking it in anywhere?
Repair-man:
Hmmm, thats likely an old Nutone...no use trying to fix it. There are KitchenAid blenders that will fit the same hole, though. Check the internet for built-in blenders.
Agrajag:
Nutone.... That was the name.... Okay. I'll look for a replacement. Thanks.
