279457   this is the larger terminal with wire for the old style whirlpool heating elements.

I am 99 percent sure if you buy this wire with terminal it will work.Just saying.

I think there are two different conversations going on here.  Are you trying to replace a broken terminal on an oven or dryer element? All spade terminals on ovens I've seen are :embarassed: 1/4 inch.  The 5/16 inch replacement end shown is for dryer elements.  You are asking about an oven element aren't you?

Delete, Delete, Delete...I just looked back at the photo you posted... obviously dryer!

yes, for the dryer. I went ahead and ordered that jumper with connector. I swear I tried two hours last night to find the 5/16" size on the internet last night. All the local places didn't have anything over 1/4", even the appliance store which does service work.

Had the same problem many, many months ago. Bhiatt - Private Message me and I will send you one "FREE" - I have a Supplier of mine who actually manufacturers them and he gets them on a LARGE COIL there all connected together on a rope like coil, let me see if I get the info for you. Kiddingly I actually said he should sell these because there like GOLD!

Found them on the net for $0.30 cents each but shipping will cost you arm and a leg.

If possible and a reasonable price I would like to buy 10 of these. I find them burnt on some electric  dryers when I work on them. Please advise where and how I can get some.

In looking at the specs for the terminals from Newark it shows the max wire size is 12 AWG. I thought the wire size for the electric dryer coil was a 10 AWG which is slightly larger than this terminal will accept. Am I wrong or is the wire size at the terminal end  a 12 AWG ?
