« on: September 29, 2008, 01:35:44 PM »
Here's the story, My Wife drop a spice bottle on the Ceramic top of her range CFEF372AS1,

My Mother in Law wants to donate her #CFEF375JFS which has a broken Oven window.

Will the door from CFEF372AS1, fit on the #CFEF375JFS

Thanks

Just yank the door off the broken stove and try to put it on the other stove. Most of the ones I have seen you just get it in the BROIL position. (half cock notch) and yank the door straight off the hinges, Take it over to the other stove and see if it will slide in place. That is what I would do.

Reg, your parts links contain an ftp link which none of us can download.

Perhaps a different approach is needed to find the parts sheets.  Dang, I was hoping to see the parts.

Instead of switching doors, the top should also interchange if it is the same dimension & color.

Thanks for the help everyone, I did as recommended, just yanked the door off 1 and put it on the other one.

They seemed to match up pretty good when they were side by side. And they did when the doors were switched.

So should I yank out the elelements out of the basket case stove and save them? I grabbed the one out of the range, but I am not sure how often the stove top elemnets burn out.

Oh by the way, the reason my inlaws were so egor to give up their range. They switched their heating system from wood to Propane, so they switched their range to a Propane one. Now I have Range envy, 30" Range with digital timer and heat setting, Stainless with 4 Big stove tops elements.
