Frigidaire top loading washer-water will not enter tub

Frigidaire top load washer...about 2 years old.  The water will not enter the tub.  I have checked all the lines for clogs and water pressure, but all that is fine.  The rest of the cycles work just fine, it even drains if i put water in the tub with a hose.  Any ideas?

Have you tried different Wash Temperature Switch settings ?

Check your water valve by applying 120 volts ac to the hot and cold solenoids. I use a cheater cord(lamp cord with aligator clips) If the valve is good then the water pressure switch is stuck in the full position. If you remove the tub to switch hose and happen to hear a click then you have a blockage in the tub (highly unlikely). Mostly it is the water valve or somebody fergot to pay the water bill.

Hello.  It is me again. I never got my washer problem fixed from before.  I am looking into getting someone to come out and repair it. However I was wonder if you could provide me with a fair repair cost estimate for either problem mentioned before.  Thanks.

Ain't nothing hard about replacing a water valve. You can get a generic one for $20 or less part GVI-151.Looks like appliance parts pros has your exact one for 32 bucks here:

BTW The picture I know shows a dryer but I believe your washer is accessed by this method. Another tech will come along and correct me if I am wrong.

I received and install the water valve today.  Water will still not enter the washer.  I tried in on several settings and both hot and cold. Any suggestions now?

Bad wire to the water valve. If neither hot or cold work....check the neutral wire.
Bad timer contacts.
