Whirlpool regenerator In-Door-Ice maker overfills causes ice cycles

My In-Door-Ice maker is overfilling and causing ice cycles to hang down from the unit.  I have looked in the repair manual and have not found a place to adjust how long the water runs during the fill cycle.  Is there such a setting on this model of ice maker, or do I have to replace the whole unit?

Next time the unit dumps the ice and does a fill cycle, time the sound of the water valve opening. It should be no longer than 7.5 seconds, or overfill can occur. If the fill time is longer, replace the icemaker. If the fill time is normal (7 seconds or less) and the icemaker mold still overfills, replace the water inlet valve in back.
