Maytag Neptune MAH4000 door lock all the time

Hello,

I've found this website and become a big fan of you guys here.  My Maytag washer recently had the same problem as many of people as no spin.  I took the advice from this forum and ordered a new control board and wax motor.  However, after install all those in, my washer's door light is on all the time and lock the door even I'm not washing anything.  Could you tell me what I've done wrong when installing the wax motor and the control board in?  By the way, the machine is in working order now.  Please help.

Sorry, I meant door lock light is on and lock the door all the time.  I have to use the manual door unlock string to unlock it every time I want to open the door

Make sure the spring behind the wax motor is in the correct place. It should be pushing the body of the wax motor forward.

It's also possible that you did not engage the tip of the wax motor in the space provided on the plunger assembly. If you snapped the wax motor in ahead of the plunger, the lock light switch will remain energized. The tip of the wax motor fits about 1/8" into the end of the plunger as illustrated above.

You are right on the point.  I did not engage the tip of the wax motor to the space provided on the plunger assembly.  I did put the tip in the space.  This time, it just looks exactly like your picture and everything works fine.  Thank you very much.
