On the dryer control panel there are three buttons(beeper, more time, less time) that seem to be led's but do not light up. The same buttons on the washer control panel do light up. Is this normal? I have read the manual, but did not see an answer.

Although this is an ancient post--the question is not.
On LG dryers the buttons mentioned in the post above are not lighted.
There's a common misunderstanding about what these MORE DRY/LESS DRY buttons are intended for.
Some consumers may simply desire to dry their laundry by *Timed Dry* method rather than use the *Sensor Dry* feature (computer control).
Other consumers find that the *Sensor Dry* method cannot dry a very large item in the dryer such as a comforter--which may require more time to dry than the maximum allowable time in a *Towels* cycle even if the DRY LEVEL selector has been set to * Very Dry*.
TIMED DRY CYCLE
To use the *Time Dry* option--the following steps can taken:
1) Power on
2) Press the *Time Dry* selector and select the amount of time
desired.
3) If more than 60 minutes is desired--press the MORE DRY button
until the desired time is set.
4) Press Start
The smaller MORE & LESS time selector buttons allow for either adjusting time in ONE MINUTE INCREMENTS or setting time in excess of 60 minutes---up to 139 minutes.
This means that the time the that the customer has selected will be the amount of time that the dry will run.
Unlike the Sensor Dry cycles--which will automatically remove time not needed if the laundry load dries before the time expires on the control panel display.
