My fridge died today no buttons work no temp display! Lights turn on inside but nothing else works I tried to get it into diagnostic mode but since no displays or push buttons work I can't get it to even do that! Main PC board?

Under the top hinge cover is a quick connect. Check it for corrosion.

Here's the steps to diagnose the board:

1. Unplug J2 connector from control board.
2. Check for 12 VDC at control board pin J2-8 to J2-3 Do you have voltage?

If YES: Short in fan motorcircuits! Replace fan motor

If NO: Replace control board and check all fan motors circuit for shorts. If short is detected repair short or replace fan motor. If you are not sure the fan motor is shorted or not, replace it anyeway.  Failure to replace shorted component will damage the new control board upon installation

RM is that fan motor a 12 VDC motor also? Is this one of those type ice boxs that has a DC compressor powered by that same board?

No, the compressor is standard 120 v.a.c.

The fans (condenser and evap)  are DC
