Topload Washer update- "Hot water may enter when cold selected"

Pertains to the following top load models after 2007- MTW*, ATW*, NTW*. HTW*
Serial Numbers: CW12 thru CW22


CUSTOMER CONCERN:

Hot water may enter when a cold wash or rinse cycle is selected. The technician has verified that the water inlet hoses are installed correctly.

CAUSE:

Units with an ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) Switch have a feature that will electrically regulate the hot and cold water supply if it senses that the hoses are reversed. The software in the switch may be out of calibration and could trigger the automatic hose reversal feature at too low of a temperature.

SOLUTION:

Order and replace the ATC Switch
