Whirlpool/Kenmore Front loading Washer door

My son came into the laundry room from outside and, since the washer door was in the way, he hit it with the doorknob to move it thus cracking the plastic front cover of the washing machine.          The washer works fine without it but I would like to know if that part can be replaced AND if so, if the homeowner can do it. Or will the entire door have to be replaced. Thanks!
