Funny, I can pull up this model, but it shows an electric dryer, not a gas one as you showed us. I guess trying to cross-reference some of these machines is going to prove interesting.

I still maintain that the motor is bad.

I canīt see a service manual for MDE16MNAGW in the Downloads section. Where can I find a service manual for this machine?

There's no manual in our arsenal to cover 50 hertz equipment. If it's any consolation, I found out that the motor on this model has a separate centrifugal switch, part #33002451. I would opt for this before I replaced the whole motor.


Although this manual is for our models, the structure of the dryer is the same, minus the transformers, etc.

Check it out : the door switch may be intermittant. I have seen this switch act up on these dryers: http://www.repairclinic.com/SmartSearch/SSPartDetail.aspx?PartID=517075&PPStack=1 Notice the big old MEXICO written on the bottom? That should splain it.:D

Now the machine works fine. I have put a new motor and now thereīs no problem.
