SxS Temp Readout not accurate

I recently purchased a side by side and have set the temp on the fridge side to the lowest readout setting of 34. Liquids didn't seem that cold so I put a remote, accurate temp gauge inside, it reads 37-38 deg. The freezer is also off by a few degrees as well but is at least freezing. BTW, the doors had been shut for about 10 hrs overnight when I took the readings. Guess I should give GE a call but if you have any thoughts.

Also AJ, you were so nice to send me PDF's in the past, would you have a Service Manual for this model as well?

What is the freezer temperature? It should be 0-5 deg. F.

Freezer readout on the panel ranges from 0 to -9 if I recall. I did stick the remote guage in and again it was +3 to 4 deg warmer than indicated on the readout.

Could be a damper issue or something...I will let you see my copy of the service manual and you can go thru all the various diagnostics yourself.

Manual was a great help, at least pointing me in the right direction. I thought at first it may be a little low on freon but then after seeing the electronics involved thought otherwise. It is still under warranty so if there is a contiued problem I'll contact GE.
