Stove no longer heats?

We have a whirlpool stove that is I would guess around 14 years old.

It's all electric and has a glass top.
All the top burners work and the broil element. We can also set the oven as if we are going to bake something, but the oven just does not get hot.

Is there something I can check with a meter before I just go and start replacing parts?

You can ohm the old bake element with your meter.
If it checks open on the meter then it is bad.

You can also verify that the bake element terminals are supplied with the correct voltage when set to heat.

It was a bad bake element.
I replaced it with a new element and it has been working great!
