Amana Freezer TOO much ice

My 82 year old Aunt has an Amana Upright Freezer Model #AU12 that needs a new door gasket. The ice builds up around it pretty quickly since the gasket has torn around part of the door. She asked me to see if I could get her one but the places I have checked say the part is NLA. Is there some kind of "Universal Fit" one that might work? Her freezer works fine and she would really like to get it fixed instead of having to buy one(on a fixed income).
Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. They get VERY worked up over things the older they get.

My distributors show the 4357136 gasket in stock at our Beaumont warehouse. Call 'em at 800-507-4040 and see if the computer was wrong.


Apparently, the part comes with about 70 new mounting screws as well. (Wonder how long it took Chris Hall to line up all those screws on that grid?)

Thanks so much for the quick response. My Aunt is so excited that she is getting the new gasket. I called yesterday and they did have it. It should be here no later than Thursday.

We received the freezer gasket and was going to install it today but this one is too small. Have already taken the old one off the freezer and then realized the new one wouldn't fit. The measurements are:

old gasket--31 1/2 X 54 1/2

New gasket--23 1/8 X 54 1/2

Do you have any ideas or suggestions as to what we can do now? She (my Aunt) is fit to tie now.LOL

I know this may sound dumb but is the whole gasket gone or just a portion?
Since the replacement gasket is NLA you might could use some of the gasket to fix the bad part.
