Microwave Heating Delay
« on: March 23, 2015, 01:45:09 PM »
I am working on a Maytag microwave model number mmv5208ws-1. To start with it was blowing fuses, which was caused by the high voltage capacitor.
Once it got that fixed it now runs and heats but it will not heat at all for exactly one minute. The board will not send voltage to the transformer until it runs for exactly one minute (never 61 seconds or 59 seconds). Once one minute is up it will heat normal and if it is paused it will continue to heat it only has the delay if it is restarted.

I am guessing itís the smart board but it just seems so odd it almost seems like it is some kind of setting that is set wrong (just because this delay is so uniform (accurate).

Sounds like a bad control board to me. The control software is probably corrupted.

That's what I was thinking it must have got damaged when it was blowing fuses.

Ryan111 what did you ever find out what was wrong with this Microwave MMV5208SW1?

I have the same issue where it blew the slow blow fuse it starts but shuts off after 5 seconds.
