KitchenAid diswasher heat fuse
« on: August 13, 2008, 05:31:04 PM »
I am trying to determine if the fuse is bad or if the circuit card is bad.  The dishwasher went dead a few days ago with no lights.  I have confirmed power is available all the way to the circuit board.  when I check for resistance between the 2 wires at the fuse I do not get continuity (I think, because the ohm meter buzzes instead of beeps), but there is a voltage reading between the 2 wires.  Any ideas?

There is a voltage reading between the two wires that go to that fuse because the line is open.
The line is open because the fuse is bad.

What is the model nubmer of your dishwasher?

Thanks Al,

smartypants, here is the part you need.
Make sure you use the two new wires that are included in the kit or the new fuse will burn out.
