Washer flooded my laundry room!

Good thing we have a floor drain close by the washer or this could have been a big mess.

I turned the washer off and even unplugged it, but the washer still kept filling with water!

The main water shut off to the house was close by so I just turned the water off to the house for now.

Do I need to by a new washer?

sounds like the Water Inlet Valve on the back of the Washer is bad (or sediment)

Shut off the hot and cold water supply behind the washer and replace the water valve. I have seen this before. The valve gets stuck in the open position.
