around the outer edge of the door boot(gasket) is a spring/clamp, remove the clamp and peel away the boot
you can then reach inside and get at the latch
to make the latch tighter you remove the 2 screws that hold the latch to the front of the washer then.... move the latch to the side, and put a washer on each screw before you insert the screw back into the latch, when the screws are tightened the latch will be sitting back that lil bit extra
when i say you put a washer on the screw i mean the washer goes on the screw after the screw is through the washer front panel,
