FRIGIDAIRE FRONT END WASHER

PLEASE HELP.....WE HAVE ONLY HAD OUR FRONT END WASHER FOR A YEAR AND TWO MONTH, JUST OUT OF WARRANTY AND IT IS MESSING UP!  WHEN YOU TURN IT ON IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS FIXING TO START OR IT WILL START FOR APPROX 5-10 SECONDS THEN JUST STOP.  YOU CAN HEAR THE PUMP KICK ON TO GIVE IT WATER SOO WE DONT THINK IT IS THE PUMP, MAYBE IT IS SOMETHING ELECTRICAL IN THE WASHER.  WE HAD A GUY COME OUT AND THOUGHT IT WAS THE PUMP BUT IT WAS NOT THE PUMP. NOW THEY THINK IT IS THE ELECTRICAL PANEL.  WHAT DO YOU THINK???

Quick Check
If there is no error displayed and the washer momentarily
starts then turns back off:
1. Listen for a relay closure inside the motor control
shortly after the Start/Pause key is pressed. If this
happens, themotor control has power.
2. Check the 5 pin connector wiring between the
console control and the motor control.

remove the back panel, on the bottom right inside the cabinet is the motor control board, make sure both plugs to that board are tight and... grab the tub by the pulley and bounce it in the direction of that board, watch where the tub would hit that board, if there are wires in about that spot inspect them very well(one is probably pinched or broken) make sure all wires are routed away from the side of the board when you put her all back togeather

alrighty, I looked and inspected the connectors and no wires are bent or pinched or broken.  you can hear the relay closure shortly after the start/pause button is pressed.  say you have it on normal wash...you press start..you hear the door lock then another click inside the machine and then nothing now sometimes it will put out a little bit of water and then just stop, but the machine does not turn off it just freezes all the lights are still lite up......now if you put it on spin only.... you hear the door lock, another click, and then it will start sucking the water out and just all of a sudden stop, but everything is still lite up on the front of the washer.

I just wanted to make sure will the repair guy saying we needed a whole new elctrical panel and him going to charge us $255.00 was a little extreme or does that sound about right, or does it sound like there is an even more simple solution. =)

Since the relay clicks, you can safely assume the motor control board down below is the problem. A common problem at that. Who said the board was $255?   I found it for $129. Swap out 2 wiring blocks and you're done!
