whirlpool top loader

have top loader whirlpool have done a recent water pump change and machine will now fill but will not cycle, it just makes electrical humming noise starter switch appears ok new timer also, motor is getting warm though any help would be great many thanks jamie

Maybe you need to check the new pump to see if it is locked up.
