Hamilton Beach 25475A Breakfast Sandwich Maker
« on: August 24, 2014, 09:08:07 AM »
I usually don't think to much of kitchen gadgets when I see them, but I have been hearing a lot about the Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker.

After seeing them in a lot of homes and even in all the hardware stores I started reading the Amazon reviews and watching the youtube videos about them.

So once again I'm not a big fan of kitchen gadgets, but I'm a huge fan (maybe to huge) of breakfast sandwiches.

I usually start my work day off by picking up a breakfast sandwich from our local convince store, but I think that is going to change now.

This weekend I picked up a Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker for myself. I have only used it a few times so far, but I will say that right from the very first sandwich I made with it I was very impressed!

You can read a lot of helpful tips about them on Amazon. I'm looking forward to trying a number of different recipes with it. I was really starting to get tired of eating the same old breakfast sandwich from the convince store. I think this is one kitchen gadget I'm really going to enjoy using.

If your a fan of the breakfast sandwich I highly recommend you give one of these a try.

Anyone else have one?

Maybe you could find one locally? I picked mine up at a local retail store as their sale price at the time was the same price at Amazon. Other wise I would have ordered it from Amazon like I do with so many other things.

How does the thing work?  I watched the video on amazon, and the little sliding griddle for the egg made me think the sandwich would be too seamed up - soggy rather than crisp.  It also didn't seem like it'd work well with wheat bread, unless you trimmed it or crammed it in.

I buy those preformed, pre-cooked sausage patties pretty regularly.  They make good sandwiches.

i would not says it's crispy, but it's sure not soggy.

I make my sandwiches with english muffins, I mix a little milk in with the egg and scrabble it in a bowl before adding it. Then I let the egg cook for 2 minutes before I add the top half of the english muffin. I get a nice thick fluffy egg in my sandwich that way.

I have also mixed in mushrooms in with my egg. Also used pre cook sausage patties. I take enough patties out of the freezer for the week and leave them in the refrigerator as they heat up much better if they are not frozen.
