Ice maker with the "fill fingers" frozen up so bad the motor can't dump the ice. Took me an hour to go through the various flow charts. Appears the defrost heater is not working. This only leave one of three $100 parts. Problem is its looks like a real pain to get out. There are numerous online complaints about this problem and companies having to come out multiple times. Any one see this before?

I had one one time with problems and multiple trips from other companies. Had started buckling the hardwood floor in customers new house. I declined it and left I seen lawsuits all over it.

does it defrost if you run the finger defrost in test mode?  also the motor shouldn't dump the ice.. after the mold heater runs it should move the mold off the ice and then the finger defrost heater will run and let the ice fall off... if the molds stuck then it's probably the mold heater, if the molds moving off then disregard that last bit...

been on waaaaay too many of these, we do frigidaire warranty on them.. which is.. interesting sometimes.. had more than a few where I'd get one part working only to find other faults...

also make sure that you have all the upgraded parts for that model if you don't run from it... they updated the board, put in a little shield on the side by the lines to that refrigerant valve in the back, and they also changed the mold...   also if they have one of the flip out doors on the freezer that should be replaced with one that doesn't flip out...

I don't get a lot of these on cash calls, and the few I do don't get much in the way of a sugarcoated opinion of this icemaker...  the only thing that usually sells it is that frigidaire will usually grant customers a part concession if they call out of the first year warranty but less than 2 years old..    but thats all up to frigidaire.

Had one doing same thing -  parts too expensive to screw with,   told them to call frigidare and let them deal with it.    Not worth screwing with this ice machine in my opinion.     Very similar to the early 70's GE refrigerators that had the 6 cube inline mold and pushed the cubes out from the bottom when they were done.     That was garbage too.
