« on: May 16, 2014, 02:44:32 PM »
Have a gas Inglis dryer model IGD4400VQ2 that isn't getting as hot as it used to I took off the exhaust hose and put a therometer in the dryer and it only gets to 125 degrees,no more. What could be wrong with this dryer. It used to get hotter.

Cycling thermostat could be getting to hot because of the lint build up inside and causing it to cycle off to soon or the thermostat itself could be bad.
Hope you find our website helpful.

Take a look at the flame by taking off small plastic square part # 31 on front panel and look for a nice blue flame.

So you don't think that the set of coils might cause this?

When you look though the plastic piece i told you to take off and do you see the glowing of the glow coil and know igniting. If the answer is yes then the coils are probably bad.Or do you see a weak flame or maybe a small flame.

What I see is a weak flame. The coils do not look like they are glowing.
