Compared to all of the other brands of front load washers---I find the LG washer tub bearing replacement---to be the easiest (intuitive).

At a minimum you'll need:

Stainless Steel Inner Tub (lifetime warranty)---(3045ER0021F)

Inner Bearing (4280FR4048K)

Outer Bearing (4820FR4048C)

Bearing Seal (4036ER2003A)

Tub Gasket (4036ER4001C)

If the washer is older than 2009---you can offer---as an option to the customer (a value added service)...

Drain Motor (4681EA2001T)

Hall Effect Sensor (6501KW2001A)

Motor Wire harness (6877ER1016C)

what is your charge for this job?
is the orig. stainless steal tub lifetime warranty?

just from the parts list it looks kinda pricey. dont think many people opt for doing the repair and will go buy another washer. JMO

As an authorized LG servicer---the stainless steel tub is not an issue to obtain.

Having done more than a few of these repairs---I've become proficient.

The entire repair (including the Drain Motor/Wire Harness/Hall Sensor)---is at or about $395

Profit is $280---for an hour to an hour and a half of repair time.

At least 50% of my customers okay the repair---generally contingent on overall condition of the washer and whether or not the washer is on a wood floor (for models *without* the True Balance feature/anti-vibration capability)

I don't think that I've seen a *True balance* washer yet---with a failed Tub Bearing (True Balance was introduced in 2009)

I checked your business profile---we're practically neighbors:)

Wouldn't surprise me at all if we crossed paths at a local Wawa during the morning coffee run or lunch :)

You have to respect that^^  John, I strongly believe that I have done a handful of true balance bearing jobs. From my understanding the main component in true balance, is the software not added or changed hardware. Correct?

Samsungs are similar and easy to work on. I bought a 3 year old washer last week for $50 and it needed the inner tub shaft. About $157 invested.  I plan on putting it on Craiglist tomorrow.
