Kitchenaid - remove lid

I need to replace a lid switch, but first need to determine how to remove the lid.  Then determine how to replace the switch.  Any help?

Well ok, Kitchenaid what?  Washer?  Need the complete model number to see what is in yours??? What and where the switch is located? Give us some help here...lol... :)

Here are your washer breakdown pages complete with part numbers, you can see the lid switch on page 1, the top does not come off, the whole case, (top, front and sides) come off as one piece after the console is flipped up... CLICK HERE
