Kitchenaid - remove lid

I need to replace a lid switch, but first need to determine how to remove the lid.  Then determine how to replace the switch.  Any help?

Well ok, Kitchenaid what?  Washer?  Need the complete model number to see what is in yours??? What and where the switch is located? Give us some help here...lol...
