Removing oven igniter - is there a trick to it?
« on: August 22, 2014, 11:00:50 AM »
I have to replace the oven igniter (won't heat) on my GE JGBP33CEH5CC, but I'm having some trouble removing the old igniter. What I believe is the gas valve wire (has an orange/red connector) seems to be stuck on. I've tried to get it off and it won't budge. Is there a trick to getting these off?

Thanks for any help in advance!

You will have to splice the wires in like in the video.
Use liquid soap or water on screw threads to get screws out easier on the burner.
