Newer lg electric dryer won't turn on.
« on: March 28, 2014, 09:05:18 PM »
I just bought used lg dryer. It worked at the ladies house I bought it from. Got it home and now I can't get it to light up the front panel. The drum light comes on though.. Is there something like a sensor that could have been damaged or shaken up in transit.

Thanks for the reply. I don't know what that means? :embarassed:
We did check all the power and it has what it's supposed to. We tested from the wall and down and the dryer .

May I ask how exactly you checked and the readings you got?

if you know your getting the voltage you may want to pop the lid off and check the front control board. make sure everything is connected properly and there hasn't been any damage to that panel.

If you are more than sure that you have proper voltage, locate the main pcb behind the dial,  and look at the three pin yellow connector. Under the clear pcb coating look for a burn.  O0

Check the single white wire & plug on the control board. I have seen it come loose and cause the problem you are having.

A Model & Serial Number would be a help.

How does the POWER button on the Control Panel look?

Any possibility that---during delivery/installation---the Button has been *pushed inward* too hard (appears crooked/not aligned)?
