LG fridge model#LFC20745DSW blowing 15Amp fuse
« on: March 27, 2014, 02:50:54 AM »
my customer has this LG fridge which blew the 15Amp fuse on the control board. The said fuse cannot be replaced.I had to install an in-line fuse-holder.It would cost a lot of money if I buy a new computer board. Is adding an in-line fuse holder an acceptable repair method?i am not sure what LG repairman would do.

Vogus,I checked the model # again,I made a mistake. The # is LFC20745sw.I remember I did this once before in another LG fridge about 2 months ago. That one is still OK.It seems I see more of this happening. That's why I ask whether this is acceptable.Trying to order a new computer board will take some time. Thanks for the quick answers.

Thank you very much AJ for referring me the previous posts about installing inline fuse to fix the problem. It's always best to look at what other technicians have done to solve the problem.I will post if I get any problems with this repair. :thanks:
