« on: March 26, 2014, 09:01:24 PM »
the flame lights then shuts off within 5-10 sec. I thought is was the hight limit stat. when i held the two wires together the flame never went out. ordered #6931EL3004B and #6931EL3003C and replaced both. dont understand why when the wires are held together it stays lit.

Does it burn continuously when the vent is disconnected and all stats wired? Do not do this test for more than a few seconds. You must block thedoor opening to have flame pulled through.  O0

did not try it with the vent disconnected. i had the door on when i last ran the dryer. i can hear the burner ignight  then go out.

Also i don't know if this matters but on the display where is says processing the "cooling" light is always on along with the "drying" light.

I posted here:  http://appliancejunk.com/forums/index.php?topic=14458.0

Wildimaginations suggested it was a bad valve.  I've got one coming on Monday.  Then I go have a beer - whether its fixed  or not.

Knew it! Gas dryers are EXTREMELY sensitive to vent length and flow. O0 O0
