samsung dishwasher dmt800rhs errors
« on: March 18, 2014, 05:47:40 PM »
My dishwasher has been displaying an "LE" code.  It then displayed an "oE" code.  Now its displaying "LE" code again.  I pulled it out, cleaned the sensor in overflow pan and even replaced main board.  No luck.
Any ideas?

If your dishwasher is displaying error code LE, your dishwasher may be leaking and it requires service.

niobrara- where are the floats located?  I have taken the bottom spinner and screen off, but didn't see any floats.
appliancecowboys- I took the unit out, flipped it over and did not see any moisture anywhere.  Where else might it be leaking?

I did notice that when I turn the breaker back on, the drain cycle runs ans some water does dribble out of the cover on the inside left side.  Could this be an indication of something?

Your float is in a plastic case on the left side there is a micro switch on top that the float activates. Your sensor is in the middle on the bottom.

some water does dribble out of the cover on the inside left side, if that water touchs the sensor le shows up you can put a fan on it to dry the unit out good if it comes back you have a leak

I am an repair tech. If it is the float sticking you don't need to remove the unit.
Tap on the bottom service access panel with a rubber mallet while unit is either filling with water or draining the water.
If it works then the float is sticking.
DON'T hit the door panel!!
The service access panel on the bottom will have 2 screws to remove it, The screw on the left is where you want to hit it with your rubber mallet. Keep tapping on it while it fills or drains.
This will help to determine if a sticking float is the problem without doing anything to the unit.

I flipped the breaker again after giving it time to dry.  "LE" error was gone, unit ran for 1 minute, "LE" error came back.  I tapped on lower left side while filling and draining, no luck.  I guess it's time to check for leaks.  When I pulled unit out and flipped it over, I saw no leaks, no moisture at all.  Where else should I look for leaks?

Forgot to ask, I'm still not sure where to find the float.  If I pull the unit out, what's the easiest way to find the floats?

I really appreciate all your help by the way.

if you've pulled the unit out already then you'll need to take the panel on the outside of the left side of the dishwasher off, it should be behind that, it's 2 screws on the side, and I think one or two around the corner on the back and front..
