Installing burner receptacles

Is it ok to install replacement burner receptacles by soldering splices (covered with heatshrink tubing) instead of using the wire nuts ?

No, the connection could get warm and melt the solder.

Use PORCELAIN wire nuts. The cheap receptacles have plastic and will melt.
