I am new to this forum and this is my first post, for help....
I had a failed high temp probe in my Heartland Metro 3525 oven. I ordered both probes (high temp. and thermostat) and replaced them. Before replacing the back panel and pcb, I tested the oven and everything worked well. I then replaced the back panel and pcb and plugged the oven into the outlet. As soon as I inserted the plug into the outlet, there was a loud pop and spark from behind the pcb access panel. The breaker tripped as well. After removing the panel to check for obvious shorts (none found), I tried to plug the oven in again. All of the elements work, but the convection fan will not operate and the oven light will not turn on. The convection element still works and I can hear the relay click when I turn on the oven.
On the back of the pcb, there was an obvious electrical burn, and one of the electrical pathways was stripped bare. It still had continuity between pins, but was a little burned. I ran some solder along the pathway to make sure there was a good connection. However the fan and light still do not work. And there is no voltage at the motor connections.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. A schematic would really help too.
Thanks in advance.
