Hello, I am renting a place with a brand new Whirlpool range. The problem is that once the electric coil burners are turned off and the skillet or pot is taken off the burner there are tiny bits of grey metal dust that flies off the burners and land all over the range top and also against the dials and the clock and also the floor. This goes on for at least a few minutes. I would then need lots of wet paper towels to clean this all up. I called Whirlpool and they said that they have never experienced a complaint about this. Does anyone know what the tiny bits of metal bits would be? Is this a fairly common complaint? This has been going on for a while, as I thought that being a new range this would eventually stop. Thanks for your time.
